Enlighten Me!!

One example is the idea of Voltaire (freedom of speech) realtes to the 1st ammendment in the U.S.Another example is the idea of Wollstonecraft (free and equal), in the U.S. women can do practicaly anyhting men can do without being questioned or punished in any kind of way.Women don't have to obey thier husbands, on some occasions in the U.S. men are obeying the women. The third example is the idea of Diderot (encyclopedia). We as americans still use the encyclopedia as a resoucre. We have even updated the encyclopedia to where we can download it on a computer, and won't have to use the books anymore. The last example is the idea of Rousseau (natural innocence). I agree that everyone in the U.S. has natural innocence. Some people may seem like they are not innocent at all, but they just make bad decisions.

World History

At The Theater of Ancient Greece, named after the god of wine, one of the greatest events of the year was renfromed. Such as people participating in the Olympics to entertain their gods. Religous festivals held in honor of gods. They considered three tragidies or three comidies followed by a short satry fierse. When they acted in wasn't just them acting, the plays actually ment something. Actors were only men, women were not allowed to participiate. Were as today we have acotrs (men) and actresses (women). Large mask and elaborate costums for male to act as men or female. The cost for the theatre was two obols, and those who didn't have the money got in for free. Were as we have to pay three to seven dollars (dependening on the theater) to get in, and if we don't have the money we can't get in at all.Another thing people did was to hae parties. The women would dance or sit down and tell stories. Beside the telling stories, this is very similar to our way of having parties. The women dance while the men just sit back and watch. Some people also painted art to engage so peoples attention. Also poetry and literacy was essential in Greece. People wouod travel all over cities just tell there stories to others.
